About Brian

Hello Everyone! I’m glad you’re here. Contact me by sending an email to brian humek (at) gmail (dot) com. Of course, you know to take out the () and replace words with symbols. I’m just trying to prevent bots from taking my email and sending me more spam.

Click on any of the links below to get more detailed information on any area of expertise. In the menu bar above, you’ll see links to my blogs for said areas. I’ll post once a week to each, sometimes less often and there will most likely be no pictures included except in the photography blog. This website is just to inform you about me, not to attract visitors from around the world. I hope you find the information you are looking for and if you need me to speak at your church, edit your children’s picture book or if you need consulting help or publicity for your pizzeria, please send me an email.

Since I’m not a big fan of the term, “I”, the rest of this page is written in 3rd person : )

Brian has spoken to many churches, primarily, those churches have been in Texas, Kansas, Nebraska, Colorado, Oklahoma, Illinois and Indiana. Picture Book Writer

picture book writer 2Brian has been writing children’s picture books and submitting them to publishers for over a decade. He has been editing and critiquing picture books for fellow children’s writers for almost that long. His closest brush with publishing came from Albert Whitman and Company, a major publisher near Chicago. His book Buck-a-Bye-Baby went to an acquisitions meeting, but in the end, it was not purchased. Brian continues to write today in this ever changing market with one goal in mind, to sell a picture book to a major U.S. publisher.

Entrepreneur

Photo by Zeke Humek of Brian Humek Eating PizzaBrian has always had an entrepreneurial spirit. Even in ministry, he had the idea to be a church planter, with no intention of leading an already established church. He has taken that entrepreneurial spirit and now applied it to pizza. His latest venture PizzaSpotz.com is now moving along at a quick pace and is recognized in the pizza industry and by pizza lovers as one of the leading pizza blogs and one of the more fun pizza websites to spend a minute, hour or an entire afternoon or evening devouring.
